Local Students Represent University in Prestigious Quiz Show




The University of Lincoln will appear for the first time on BBC's University Challenge on Monday, September 1, 2025, at 8:30 pm.


The team includes captain Sam Orman-Chan (Computer Science), John Clayworth (History), Laura Bruce (Conservation of Cultural Heritage), and Grace Bloomfield (Chemistry), with reserve Jessica Doano (Mathematics).


They face Lancaster University in this iconic academic competition known for testing general knowledge, speed, and teamwork under pressure. Captain Orman-Chan described the experience as both exciting and memorable, highlighting the honor of representing Lincoln on such a prestigious platform.


This debut marks a significant milestone for the university, joining the ranks of institutions competing in the UK's longest-running quiz show.
